Fastest Growing Healthcare, Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Sales Jobs in Ohio

In Ohio and the rest of the country, the Healthcare and Medical Fields are the most rapidly expanding, particularly as defined below to include not only “medical” jobs like doctor and nurse, but also associated “healthcare” fields like dentistry and veterinarian jobs, according to the US Department of Labor.  And, the traditional jobs are supplemented by a raft of support technical and assistant jobs too, plus jobs like Athletic Trainer, Social Worker, Unit Clerk, and Unit Secretary.

In sheer numbers of increased jobs, Home Health Aide jobs are the champs in Ohio with an expected increase of nearly 29,000 new jobs in the next 5 years.  Registered Nurses are next, predicted to increase over  21,000 new jobs.  Interestingly,  Medical Secretaries are the next fastest increasing job, followed by LPN’s (Licensed Practical Nurses) and LVN’s (Licensed Vocational Nurses), Medical Assistants, and Personal Care Aides.

Best Paying Healthcare, Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Sales Jobs in Ohio

As usual, in Ohio as well as every other state, Healthcare and Medical Jobs own the top of this list, too.  Sales Managers are the only non-medical job on the list at $98,900 a year.  The top job, also as usual, is Anesthesiologist (# 1).  Obstetricians (# 2), Orthodontists (# 4),  and Surgeons (# 6) are very near the top, and the salaries for all 4 of these jobs are off the top of the chart, with annual salaries exceeding $187,200/year.  Below them are Dentists (# 7 at $178,400/year), Psychiatrists (# 9 at $164,500/year),  Internists (# 10 at $155,800, Pediatricians ($134,700/yr), and Pharmacists ($111,600/yr).    Job postings for all these job titles are listed below.
